Conference Centre Vacancies

Head of Conference Services (Maternity Cover possibly leading to permanent position)

This position has responsibility for the running of the sales & operation of The Exchange conference centre. You will manage, support and have responsibility for all the members of the conference sales & operations team ensuring that the facilities are sold to the best advantage and the events are run to a professional standard ensuring that all the clients’ requirements are met on a daily basis.

You will be responsible for all financial reporting of the conference centre including accurate forecasting, occupancy figures and invoicing. You should use your sales experience to generate new clients, converting customer enquiries into confirmed sales & build upon relationships with existing clients to ensure repeat business. When required you will need to be flexible and assist with the operation of events to ensure all the client expectations are met & exceeded.

You must have previous conference centre/hotel experience, a positive attitude, and able to communicate with people at all levels.

Assistant Conference Co-ordinator

This position encompasses all aspects of organising and operating events within The Exchange conference centre. You will deal with the client from start to finish, both face to face and over the telephone, maximising revenues through reactive selling

This is a hands on role requiring you to assist with all areas of the operation within the centre including administration, food & beverage service and front of house operations.

You must have good customer service skills, methodical, a team player and have a professional approach to your work.

• Conference Porter (part time)

Required to assist with the set up of conferences, Good customer Service skills and the ability to work within a team are essential skills for this role.

• Waiter / Waitress

Candidates must have good experience in a customer service orientated catering environment. You are required to serve food and beverages to conference clients, ensuring superior service at all times. You must be flexible and adaptable to the working hours, have a positive attitude, and the ability to work as part of a team.
